This is a crisp, stylish Chardonnay featuring lively, tropical over-tones and a zesty finish.
This wine shows lifted aromas of fresh peach, citrus and honeydew melon with an underlying hint of nougat and nutmeg spice.
Wyndham Hill Smith found Oxford Landing in 1958 on the banks of the River Murray, South Australia. The winery has matured into one of Australia's most innovative viticultural estates, delivering flavours that reflects the unique vineyard terroir. Oxford Landing vineyard near the South Australian town of Waikerie is an idyllic place, distinguished by clear blue skies, rich red soil and sunshine - the perfect environment for growing grapes. This Chardonnay has real complexity and texture for a wine at this price. Some of the wine is fermented using ‘wild yeast', a little is left on lees, some has malo-lactic fermentation, and a portion of reserve wine, aged in French oak hogsheads.
On the banks of South Australia's mighty Murray River, Oxford Landing's grapes have thrived since 1958 in sustainably grown vineyards. A classic, sophisticated chardonnay with melon, stone fruit and honey characters. Perfect match to gnocchi, lemon and sage.
