Bestway rewards performance to staff and suppliers
Bestway Wholesale Group held the annual Bestway Performance Awards ceremony this week to recognise the contribution made to the group by both its staff and suppliers during 2010. The awards were held at the prestigious Chancery Court Hotel in London.
The awards, with over £20,000 in prize money, are held annually and are open to all of the 5000 staff across the Bestway group. There are fourteen awards made to staff and two to suppliers recognising outstanding performance and achievement across all areas of the business.
Members of staff, including managers across the group, vote for colleagues who, in their eyes, have achieved the best results leading to an improvement in their all round performance and in the way the business is run. Suppliers to the group also contribute their votes.
For the two supplier awards, Bestway and Batley management teams and staff operating in all branches across England, Scotland and Wales nominate suppliers who have demonstrated the best attitude, support and service levels and demonstrated an innovative approach in managing the business relationship.
The top awards for 2010 went to:
Overall manager of the year
