Batleys Goes Live With New Transactional Website

Batleys Wholesale has today launched a fully interactive, transactional website.

Boasting a modern, colourful design, the new site offers quick and easy access to essential product and promotion advice for independent retailers, foodservice professionals and export customers across the country.  It has been under secure development for the past six months and tested with customers to ensure it meets their needs.

Visitors can view a range of 17,000 SKUs along with the latest promotions and weekly offers – including multi-buys and exclusives for those ordering online and Xtra Local Retail Club members.  Registered users can choose to receive email and SMS alerts on breaking news and deals.

In ‘favourites’ they can review their full buying history and keep up to date with prices and availability.  The user-friendly ordering service offers both ‘delivered’ and ‘click & collect’ options, with the latter allowing customers to collect goods picked, ready and waiting at their chosen Batleys depot.

Registered independent retailers can claim a free handheld product scanner to use with the new site to further speed the ordering process.  They can also print Point of Sale materials direct from the site.

Martin Race, Batleys Operations Director, says: “With the new Batleys website we’ve made it even easier for all our busy customers to get what they want at the click of a button – the best products, promotions, news and advice – and for us to stay in touch with them more effectively.  This launch reflects our continued commitment to help them build their businesses in a dynamic environment.”

The new Batleys site is the most recent web launch by Bestway Wholesale, whose existing websites already average around £2.5 million web sales per week.  All websites have been optimised for mobile phone use to guarantee customers 24/7 access.  More web developments are expected as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the quality and availability of information offered to customers.

Race adds: “Although Cash & Carry remains the cornerstone of the Batleys business, the Bestway Group is constantly expanding and recognises the need to embrace new technology.  Obviously we continue to look forward to welcoming our customers who choose to shop at their local branch, but with our new websites we are catering to the evolving requirements of the community as a whole.”
