Bestway adds that extra bit of magic with giant new promotion

The Bestway wholesale group is staging one of its biggest promotions ever by reintroducing its highly successful "Magic Circle" promotions scheme.

Record cash back deals for the average retailer purchases

Magic Circle will be run over six main promotional periods of the year, kicking off in time for Easter, then Spring, the World Cup, ‘Back to School’ and a big Winter special.

Younus Sheikh, managing director of the Bestway wholesale group said, “Run in 2009 for the first time, “Magic Circle” was one of the most successful promotions ever staged by Bestway, generating offers worth sales of £173 million. Sales last year were up by 36 percent on standard promotions, with volume up by 88 percent and nearly 90,000 new distribution points for the “Magic Circle” promoted lines. This has to be one of the best deals ever for both the manufacturers and the independent retail trade alike. This year’s scheme involves all the FMCG suppliers of the biggest brands.

The deal for the independent could not be easier. All retailers entering the scheme will earn an additional 1.5 percent discount on all products featured as part of the promotion, but if the customer buys a selection of the nominated products highlighted within the promotion period of the “Magic Circle” deal then the reward will be doubled to 3 percent.

The promotion will be heavily backed with a retailer trade press advertising campaign, full point of sale (POS) materials including a retailer kit of window bills, shelf talkers and handbills so that the retailer can increase their sales and personalise the promotion to their own store.

The “Magic Circle” will begin its cycle of promotions on 5th March in time for Easter (Good Friday 2nd April) and will continue in three-week bursts until November. All Bestway and Batleys branches across England, Scotland and Wales will take part.
