Preparation and Usage
To Make 170ml (6 fl oz) portions: 25 portions; Use Soup Mix: 0.33 kg, 11 1/2 oz; Use Cold Water: 4.25 litres, 7 1/2 pints
To Make 170ml (6 fl oz) portions: 50 portions; Use Soup Mix: 0.65 kg, 23 oz; Use Cold Water: 8.50 litres, 15 pints
To Make 170ml (6 fl oz) portions: 100 portions; Use Soup Mix: 1.30 kg, 45 3/4 oz; Use Cold Water: 17.00 litres, 30 pints
To Make 170ml (6 fl oz) portions: 173 portions; Use Soup Mix: whole pack; Use Cold Water: 29.41 litres, 52 pints
McDougalls soup mix yield guide - This pack makes 173 x 170ml (6 fl oz) portions
1 Using the table above, take quantities of soup mix and water to produce the required number of portions
2 Add sufficient cold water to the soup mix to make a smooth paste, add remaining cold water and bring to the boil
3 Cover the pan and simmer gently for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
4 To prepare other portion quantities, use 13g of soup mix and 170ml of cold water per portion
Left over made-up product should be cooled rapidly, stored covered in a refrigerator and used within 24 hours by reheating thoroughly.
