|Vinification Details||Because of the high quality of the harvest, winemakers top loaded the fruit into a membrane press as soon as it reached the winery. A membrane press gently extracts the juice without grinding the skins, which can produce high levels of astringency. Fermentation occurred over an extended period of time at cool temperatures. Such a technique preserves delicate flavour and aroma compounds and allows for better fruit intensity.|
|History||For four generations the Gallo family has been bringing consumers quality wines, innovation and value for money. And we've never been more proud than we are of our latest vintage. Delicious tasting wines in all new packaging - definitely something to raise a glass to.|
|Regional Information||Winemakers selected grapes from a valley at the foot of California's Sierra Nevada Mountain range. Approximately 100 km east of San Francisco, the Central Valley is a fertile region stretching over 500 km from north to the south. Chardonnay vineyards planted here benefit from almost ideal weather conditions. Warm daytime temperatures and cool night's average into a moderate growing climate, so the grapes mature gradually, developing concentrated character and deep fruit flavours.|
