Vinification DetailsThe grapes are hand picked and vinified at a controlled temperature. The skins stay in contact with the must for 24 hours at 5° C, and must and skins are then separated with a soft pressing. Fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature of 18° C. During the year which follows the harvest, the obtained wine goes through the sparkling process. Second fermentation in steel containers occurs according to the Italian Charmat method at a controlled temperature of 14° C and lasts 60-90 days.
HistoryBottega S.p.A. are a third generation, family-owned business who began as a premium grappa producer in Veneto. They started producing sparkling wines in 1986 and the Bottega portfolio has now reached sales of 12m bottles annually. Their innovative, metallic bottles of sparkling wine and grappa are sold in over 100 countries and the family owns the patent to the production method of the painted bottles, which have earned them a global reputation for luxury products and quality.
Regional InformationBottega Rose Gold is produced from Pinot Noir grapes grown in Northern Italy, where the climate is perfect for this delicate grape variety. Cool winters and a long ripening period in the summer enable Pinot Noir to develop slowly, generating elegant red fruit flavours.
