Vinification DetailsThe grapes are hand picked and softly pressed in the winery. The must obtained is maintained in stainless steel containers at low temperature to keep its freshness. It follows the fermentation in autoclave for nearly 40 days, at a controlled temperature of 14-15° C, with the addition of selected yeasts (Charmat method). The golden bottle protects the wine by any source of light, preserving its aroma and freshness thus giving the wine a longer life.
HistoryBottega S.p.A. are a third generation, family-owned business who began as a premium grappa producer in Veneto. They started producing sparkling wines in 1986 and the Bottega portfolio has now reached sales of 12m bottles annually. Their innovative, metallic bottles of sparkling wine and grappa are sold in over 100 countries and the family owns the patent to the production method of the painted bottles, which have earned them a global reputation for luxury products and quality.
Regional InformationBottega Gold Prosecco is produced from grapes grown in the Prosecco Superiore area - the DOCG classification region. This area is the traditional Prosecco production area around Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, in a unique region of steep hills with a dense cover of vineyards. Due to Italian legislation, Prosecco in a gold painted bottle may not be labelled as DOCG and so Bottega are unable to promote their Gold Prosecco by its rightful quality level. The liquid, therefore, delivers more than the label suggests!
