Bestway scoops two prestigious Grocer Gold awards
Bestway received two very sought-after awards at the prestigious Grocer Gold Awards last night. Selected by a panel of 30 judges, the company was awarded the overall ‘Wholesaler of the Year’ accolade and the ‘Logistics Supplier of the Year’ for Bestway Vans Direct too.
It’s been an incredible 18 months for the business which lead to the wins, with acquisitions, new initiatives and renewed focuses being put in place to drive the company forward.
Bestway Vans Direct was recognised for the jobs it has provided the industry, for its service to 20,000 customers every two weeks and for the exclusive benefits it offers to suppliers. The Vans strapline was also quoted, as the aim is to help customers ‘sell more, save more and make more.’
Meanwhile, Bestway Wholesale was recognised for its contribution to the wholesale industry having acquired Bestway Vans and Bestway Retail in 2018 and having supported Costcutter retailers who were left without supply when P&H collapsed. Performance across all business areas was recognised, from increasing the best-one sales team to pet sales and customer number increases and for growing digital sales 27.7% verses a target of 20%.

Our unique proposition is that we can help customers sell more and make more and can provide numerous services to suppliers to distribute their products to 20,000 retailers every two weeks. We are really proud to have picked up this award as a culmination of what has been a successful first year under our new format as Bestway Vans Direct.”

The Grocer Golds awards ceremony was held at Guildhall on 11th June 2019.
