Olympic Torch touches Bestway Group

The arrival of the Olympic Torch to Britain has put the Bestway Group firmly on the UK map.

Through its association with Coca Cola, and their involvement as a worldwide partner of the Olympic Games, Bestway has two of its group staff as torchbearers and in addition over four hundred of the Group's Best-one stores will be within one mile of the route the torch relay is following from Lands End to Scotland and finally to the Olympic Stadium on July 27th.

Best-one has 163 stores with three miles of Olympic venues and are braced to do record business during the period.

The two torchbearers are Thurairajah Sri Kantha - Bestway wholesale group financial controller at Bestway's head office and Ben O’Neill, from Batleys branch in Liverpool where he is the delivery supervisor. The two members of staff were nominated by their staff colleagues because of their running abilities and the amount of voluntary work they do for charity in the course of a year.
