Bestway Wholesale, the UK’s largest independent food and drinks wholesaler, has made ordering quicker, easier and more convenient for its cash and carry retail customers with a refreshed ordering app and website.
Bestway Wholesale, the leading retail and catering business, has won two awards at the Federation of Wholesale Distributors FWD100 Gold Medal Awards.
It was a successful night for Bestway Wholesale at the 29th Asian Trader Awards on Tuesday 20th November, as Gareth and Natalie Hooton, best-one store owners, and Dawood Pervez, recently appointed Managing Director of Bestway Wholesale, taking post as of 1st December, picked up awards which recognised their success.
Mr Ashad Alam, who owns Al Halal supermarkets in Birmingham, has been selected from over 30,000 retailers, as the winner of a Renault Kangoo van in a competition with his wholesaler, Bestway and snacks supplier, PepsiCo.
The prestigious Retail Development Awards attended by almost 400 people, were the ‘Grand-Finale’ of Bestway Wholesale’s Retail Development programme, exclusive to Bestway’s best-one symbol group partners, Xtra local club members and independent retail customers.
Best-one, the own brand range by Bestway Wholesale, has won four awards at the 2018 Local Shop Quality Food Awards. The range also received two ‘commended’ accolades and a ‘highly commended’ on top of that.
The Bestway Group has announced its financial results for the year ended 30 June 2017. The Group's turnover increased by 0.3% to £3.29 billion from £3.28 billion in 2016 with all businesses profitable for the year under review.
Bestway Group Chief Executive Mr Zameer Choudrey has been awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Star of Excellence), conferred on him by the President of Pakistan on 23rd March 2018, in recognition of his contributions to advancing Pakistan through his services and the wide array of philanthropic work. The ceremony was held at the Presidency on Pakistan Day.
The Bestway Foundation has donated £100,000 to the NSPCC, the UK’s foremost children’s charity. The donation took place at Bestway’s HQ in Park Royal on 22th November with Bestway Group Chief Executive Zameer Choudrey CBE and Bestway Wholesale Chairman Younus Sheikh presenting the NSPCC’s chief executive Peter Wanless with a cheque for £100,000.
Bestpets, the specialist petcare division of Bestway Wholesale, was named as the UK’s Wholesaler of the Year at the Pet Industry Federation at their annual awards.
