Important message about CO2

We know how important Beer, Cider and Carbonated Soft Drinks availability is over the summer period. However, due to some extreme circumstances and pressures in the market that are out of our control, we have been left no choice but to impose some immediate changes for Beer, Cider and Carbonated Soft Drinks to protect availability and ensure we can satisfy all customers.

As a result of the shortage of CO2 in the market which many of you will be aware of, as well as exceptionally high demand due to the good weather and the World Cup, moving forward there will be a maximum purchase limit of 10 cases per customer per day for all Beer, and Carbonated Soft Drinks (Britvic only), and 5 cases per customer per day for all Cider SKUs without exception, across all current and future promotions, in depot and online until further notice. This limit will also apply across all Trade Events, 3-day, 7-day and monthly promotions.

Please note that we will also be postponing the planned Cider Festival promotion originally planned for July.

Unfortunately, as mentioned above, we must impose this notice to protect availability for all our customers. Once this issue has been resolved and stock levels normalise, only then will this notice be lifted.

We will of course continue working with our suppliers and endeavour to keep all our customers updated on the supply of any products as the situation improves.


Case limitations:

Beers – 10 cases per SKU per customer maximum daily

Cider – 5 cases per SKU per customer maximum daily

Britvic Carbonated Soft Drinks – 10 cases per SKU per customer maximum daily
