Shoppers on average spend only 23 seconds browsing the crisps fixture and 38% leave without a purchase.

There are over 4,500 snacks SKUs available to C-Stores, but 80% of sales come from only 5% of SKUs.

Over 50% of crisps & snacks sales at Lunchtime come from Singles.

£1 PMP is the main driver of growth in Impulse and holds 70% of the Sharing segment. £1 PMP has grown at 9.9%, adding an incremental £18m to the category in the last 52 weeks.

82% of retailers say £1 PMPs are must stocks, make sure core £1 PMP skus are stocked within the Sharing range.

Singles account for 1/3 of all crisps & snacks sales and have a unique set of shoppers, who are high spenders in the category.

Make sure the Must Stock £1 PMP range is at the heart of your fixture.

Ensure you stock the core range of Singles, covering all key consumer need states and price points.

To drive simplicity focus on the Hero category SKUs, whilst removing poor performers and duplication of your core range.

Help improve your customer’s shopping experience by making it quick and easy for them to find what they’re looking for:

  • Group similar products together on fixture (eg. Premium, Snacks, Value etc).
  • Give additional facings for best sellers to drive standout and availability.

Site Crisps & Snacks in additional areas of your store that have the higher footfall.

  • Sharing near drinks
  • Singles near chillers
  • Front of store and till point

When choosing NPD, consider the following:

  • Is there enough differentiation from other products you have?
  • Is it supported by advertising and marketing?
  • Is it from a scale brand?
